| Is Alloy USA a good brand of axle to go with? what other options are there? I need a new rear D44 shaft and wanting to upgrade...

| Not anymore, they're out of business. Ten Factory, I believe, is the new Alloy USA. Bought a few shafts from them, got 2, never got the other 2 after 6 months. They seem OK if they have parts in stock. We've installed a few of the new G2 axles and have had good luck with them, but haven't had anyone really beat the snot out of them.

| Hey I take it back, Omix-Ada bought Alloy USA, so you can still order their stuff.

Ha! Called him out!
We've seen some Yukons break in stupid situations, but apparently they had a bad batch of shafts (for like 3 years). Had luck with mine so far, and with most that we've installed. This is one of mine that was a blank, then had it splined. They told me that the I drilled the hole myself, and that the machine cutting the splines was chattering and distorted the metal. We don't do business with them anymore. The hole is an air pocket that is about 3 splines wide under the surface.

Mine? Shafts in my rig are still fine. The hole is right in the middle of the splines.
